Mike Wickware
Mike is a proud "Okie", born and raised in Northwest Oklahoma. He began his martial arts training in Goju-Ryu Karate and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under the esteemed 8th Dan Sensei Mike Fike in 2006. Mike earned his Black Belt in Karate in 2009.
During that time Mike also trained and competed in amateur boxing, under the tutelage of local legend Ray Johnson, earning a 2-1 record. In 2008, Mike began training with Professor Rafael Lovato Sr.
After obtaining a 3-0 record in Mixed Martial Arts, including an Amateur Title, and winning the IBJJF Nationals as a Blue Belt, Professor Lovato Sr. awarded Mike his purple belt in August of 2015.
In 2019, RYSE Academy of Martial Arts affiliated with Master Marcus Aurelio. In March of 2019 Mike was promoted to the rank of Brown Belt.
Mike has certifications in sports nutrition, emergency medicine, kettlebells, and MMA Conditioning. He's also a Level 1 Krav Maga Instructor and a professional Firefighter for the City of Woodward.
